FAQ

Questions, answered.

Everything you get asked before laying a pallet of Moroccan natural stone crazy paving.

What is crazy paving?

Crazy paving is natural stone cut and split into irregular, puzzle-fit pieces instead of a repeating grid of same-size tiles. Every piece is its own shape, so no two patios ever look alike.

Where does the stone come from?

Every pallet is quarried natural stone from the Atlas foothills in Morocco, split by hand along its natural grain. Read the full story in our Provenance section.

Will every piece look exactly the same?

No, and that's the appeal. Natural variation in color, veining and texture is part of working with real stone, not a defect. We hand-grade every pallet so the range still reads as one cohesive palette.

What finish does it have, and is it slip resistant?

Every piece is tumbled by hand, which softens the edges and gives the surface an antique, worn-in texture from day one. That texture also makes it slip resistant underfoot, wet or dry.

Can I use it indoors as well as outdoors?

Yes. It's built for patios, pathways and pool surrounds, and works just as well as an interior floor.

How do I get a quote or see the actual stone?

Fill out our contact form or email us with your square footage and the look you're after. We'll send photos of the actual pallets in stock, not a showroom sample from a different batch.

Do you deliver, or can I pick up locally?

Local pickup is free. If you're in Dallas-Fort Worth we can arrange palletized curbside delivery, and if you're further out, we help coordinate shipping anywhere in the US. Reach out through our contact form for a delivery quote based on your location and order size.

Do you install the stone?

We supply only, on purpose, so we can focus on getting you the best stone rather than spreading ourselves across installation too. We're glad to point you toward installers we trust in DFW.

How do I clean and maintain it once it's laid?

Stick to a pH neutral stone cleaner and avoid harsh acidic products, which can etch natural stone over time. A breathable sealer applied after installation helps protect against staining and makes upkeep easier.

How should I store it before my installer starts?

Keep pallets wrapped and in a dry, sheltered spot until you're ready to lay it. Natural stone is tough, but there is no reason to let it sit exposed to the weather longer than it needs to.

Do you carry colorways beyond Aurella and Vega?

Aurella and Vega are what we stock in DFW right now. Our supplier's range includes fifteen more colorways that we can special order, though those carry a longer lead time. See the Wider Range preview, or call or text to talk through options.
